It’s not rocket science that without our health we can’t experience all the wonderful joys of life. Life is all about balance. Of course I love to pig out on pizza and ice cream and whatever “junk foods” I can get my hands on at times. Actually a lot of the time, I have to be honest I love sweets. But because I also eat very well and train my body on a daily basis to balance out the so called “junk” I find that I can get away with the not so good foods. Our bodies are machines, and they run like fuel injected into a vehicle. The better the fuel the more optimal our bodies will perform. Our thoughts are run along the same lines, the more we inject positive affirmations of love and desire, the more our mind feeds upon those thoughts and moves our body into action.
My suggestion to all who desire to feel better moment by moment is to feed our bodies with at least 30 minutes a day of exercise. Your body and mind will thank you as more energy will flow your way and when you look in the mirror you will see tangible results. It’s the release of endorphins that will make you feel younger and vibrant. And when your physical apparatus is working systematically your over all state of well being will improve big time. When I don’t have a gym, I resort to push ups, but it’s up to you to improvise. I’m wishing you all a healthy day full of goodness.

It’s obvious we go through many changes in our lives. The journey can be planned to perfection and right about when you think the plan is about to manifest into concrete reality the universe at times pulls a reverse gear and sends us into another direction. It’s only through my thought habits and awareness that I’ve come to the conclusion that going with the flow while having a definite plan, staying focused on our goals is the only way to stay somewhat present in a time of absolute expectation. Having too many goals can work against us a lot of the times. That’s why it’s my suggestion to make a few goals that resonate deep in your soul. The goals that may seem unrealistic are the ones I find most exciting to focus on.
When I first signed up for the Somaly Mam Foundation, Project Futures Global bike ride across the beautiful country of Cambodia I knew it would be special. But as usual in life the real impacting moments always happen on the “ride”. Life long friendships were made with some of the most genuine authentic people I’ve ever been around in my life. I could write a book on all the stories of laughter, joy and tears spent with this amazing group. The universe inspires one with awe when you think about all the circumstances and situations that bring everything together in just the right format. I was riveted with emotions on a daily basis and my love grew not only for my fellow bike mates. But for the Cause we were raising money for, the young girls who we were giving hope for. And for the blessing that through this amazing group and the people of Cambodia I was learning a lot more about myself as a human being on this planet.
The “team” rode with authority today with love in their hearts and passion in their souls. To think five days ago I only knew Serinda and Khalil. Serinda was an old friend who I hadn’t seen in a long time, so it’s only been in the past few days that we’ve been able to rekindle our friendship. So let me give you a brief description of FRIENDSHIP in my opinion. Friendship is powerful, and caring! It’s when you love with all your heart everything about them without judgement. I really didn’t know what to expect at the beginning of this powerful journey of like minded people who care with every ounce of their being. I can say with every fiber of my being that I have fallen in love with each and every person involved. I truly believe all our forces are working as one. And then when I feel the love from all the members in this group I feel the power of the human spirit.
I was in paradise today! No it wasn’t a white sandy beach on the water…it was at a very small poor orphanage on the outskirts of Pnohm Penh. My personal tuk tuk driver Curly who has become a great friend over the past three days took me and my cameraman Khalil to a plave where the kids glowed like shinning lights. Dirty as it may have been, it cleansed my soul and my heart to see the smiles on their faces when us visitors showed up with massive bags of rice that would keep them fed for sometime. One of the youngsters stole my heart when I found out he was a heart surgery survivor. We played soccer, we played basketball we laughed, I cried. And as I tried to fight back the tears I was met with hugs and laughter that brought me back to the realization that even though these kids were so called victims of circumstances. They were all truly happy. Not one of them had a look of sadness on their faces.
