PHNOM PENH

After a 6 hour rip down the mighty Mekong river getting myself some sun along the way, I was elated to see all the smiles from the people in the floating fishing villages and little boats along the way. Wave after wave and great energy rippled through my body as I anticipated the last leg of my journey before embarking on this bike ride of a life time. I almost wish it was tomorrow, but 4 days is nothing in retrospect. I’m just anxious to be traveling with a great group of people who other than two I’ve yet to meet. For the next few days I’m going to train my butt off. My last bit of so called down time before this glorious opportunity.

Downtime my butt, who’s kidding who, I can never sit still for too long. I always have to be moving and doing something or I feel as if I’m not living. Guess I got that from my parents who are always on the go. Both of them are always giving their best in all aspects of life, and like the old saying goes if your going to emulate someone, make it someone great. Well I have two amazing parents who just celebrated their 43rd anniversary. They’ve put up with my shenanigans for years and after all my shortcomings and coming down to earth they are the ones I love the most and look up to and want to emulate. They are a real tough act to follow but hey I’m doing my best. I look forward to writing tomorrow with an update of my evening tonight.

Ryan.
