87km with LOVE!

The “team” rode with authority today with love in their hearts and passion in their souls. To think five days ago I only knew Serinda and Khalil. Serinda was an old friend who I hadn’t seen in a long time, so it’s only been in the past few days that we’ve been able to rekindle our friendship. So let me give you a brief description of FRIENDSHIP in my opinion. Friendship is powerful, and caring! It’s when you love with all your heart everything about them without judgement. I really didn’t know what to expect at the beginning of this powerful journey of like minded people who care with every ounce of their being. I can say with every fiber of my being that I have fallen in love with each and every person involved. I truly believe all our forces are working as one. And then when I feel the love from all the members in this group I feel the power of the human spirit.

The feeling of accomplishment today was ineffable. Again the smiles of the kids made it emotional and so filled with joy. The country side of Cambodia is breath taking as cows wander across the street and people from this sacred land wave in wonder with an open heart. At one point of the day I had goose bumps thinking of this ride, and just being in the moment, getting to know some of these people on a deeper spiritual level. I will carry this experience with me forever as I’m eternally grateful for my blessed opportunity to be a part of something so special. I’ve never met Somaly Mam, but tomorrow I will have the opportunity to meet a woman that has endured hardships but never let her set backs turn her into a victim. She’s a survivor that gives hope and vitality to women, that without her intention for happiness and a better world a lot of girls would be in some ugly situations as they were before.

It’s a classic case how one can turn adversities into building blocks of human achievement for the love of humanity. Chalk another beautiful day up for the “team”, we’re half way there and I know it’s only going to get better. Oh, and to all my friends in the group that I was able to see the amazing sunset with last night, thank you for sharing that moment of time with me. It’s those moments that I feel an infinite energy stream caressing through my body that makes me appreciate all the great people that come into my life.

LOVE YOU ALL…YOUR FRIEND RYAN.
