Age is only a number
It’s funny how many times I hear both men and women these days talking about their age. People make almost every excuse imaginable as to why they can’t take on a certain activity or the “maybe if I was younger” line. Ageing is inevitable, there’s no escaping it. But we can either choose to embrace it, or go against the grain and resist it. If you think about it, we get wiser as we get older. Especially if we are using the creative faculties of our brain towards what it is we desire in life. Our mind is just like any muscle in the body, without use it will wither away and be useless.
Believe in Yourself
Keep on keeping on!
You know some days when you feel a little down? Those days that our energy just isn’t quite where we want it to be? Well if your human like me you answered yes. The good thing is, is there’s a couple things we can do to pick are moods up and feel a gradual relief from despair. It’s been proven that the brain reacts best when it’s stimulated with the positive emotions we “feed” it. Some of the major positive emotions are love, sex, faith, courage, desire, hope…I’m sure you can think of more but you get my point. I think it’s only natural to not want to get out of bed some days and face the world with responsibilities and issues that seem so important. I realize that a lot of responsibilities are important especially if your a parent where life can be very overwhelming at times due to stress and a willingness to be the best parent we know how.
Give a smile, get a smile..
It’s amazing what the power of a smile can do to uplift the human spirit. I know in some countries in the world it’s considered a sin to smile at other people when you pass them on the street. Unfortunately that’s life in some places in the world, but hopefully it will change one day. I know when someone smiles at me it makes me feel great, especially if I’m having one of those days where I’m inside my head and not totally present. It actually takes less to smile then it does to frown. I know sometimes we leave our homes in the morning to work with a lot of stress built up from our busy lives, we walk into the office and can’t wait for the day to be over. But for one week try and give a smile to everyone that you make eye contact with. Not just a smile from the mouth, but smile from the eyes and really give it with feeling.
