New Years Resolutions!
With the holiday season coming to an end and all the great parties fizzling out except for the Big New Years bash, many of us have goals in mind for the new year. It’s funny because at the end of every year I always get into conversations with people on how to more effectively reach their goals in life. Lets face it, life is busy these days and it’s tough taking the time for ourselves which we so rightly deserve to make positive changes in health and finances. If it’s better health you desire, it will be beneficial to make a goal of getting some physical exercise at least three times a week. This doesn’t mean you need to get a gym pass and push the limits like a lot of extreme peopleI know, me being one of them. But going for walks around the your neighbourhood is a start, and remember a healthy diet is eighty percent of the battle towards a healthy vibrant body. and lets face it, when we see a more fit you in the mirror we feel more secure and confident.
Let Your Feelings Guide You
One of the amazing things that human beings have been blessed with is an inner guidence system called our emotions or feelings. How many times through the course of our lives have we heard the phrase “go with your gut” or ” I have a gut feeling” I’m sure there’s more. Well in most cases if we look back on situatins that had lack of better judgement, the gut was always right. I think it’s a very important decision to let your emotions be your guide. If it doesn’t “feel” good then that is your inner being throwing up warning signs that it most likely it’s a good idea to take a step back an reavaluate the situation your in whatever that may be. How many times have we been torn by two groups of people to go either one way or another and chose the wrong way and paid dearly for it? Well I’m one of those guys that always has to learn the hard way. But If I had payed more attention to the way my emotions felt I knew I had the right decision inside me all along. It comes down to the fact of not being easily persuaded by others that don’t always have your best interests in mind. A lot of people in the business world are great salesman and talkers that put themselves ahead of your personal well being knowing fully their taking advantage of you. By taking the time to pay attention to the way you feel before making quick decisions in relationships and business you will understand the power in feeling good in the moment. You will have more confidence and bring on better leadership qualities that good people will respect and admire. If it feels really good that’s a good sign to go with the flow but watch for people that can be manipultive and want your service for their benifit only. That’s why it’s so important to associate with good people.
Insecurity
At one time or another this is a human condition that effects the best of us. I realize now that I´ve taken a long look at the broader, inner part of myself and who I truly am that it has been the downfall of everything I wanted to accomplish and didn´t. We live in a world where marketing tactics in magazine ads, movies and commercials smack everyone in the face on the way we´re supposed to look, or what we´re supposed to drive ect…It´s especially tough for young people that are trying to make an identity for themselves in the world. So much emphasis is put on the way our bodies are supposed to look like. When people look in the mirror and see that they don´t match up so to speak to some of these magazine ads, people in music videos or sports stars we try and emulate it gives us a false sense of self and brings on insecurity in many cases. I find this to be even tougher for women. My heart goes out to women these days that feel they have to have the ¨PERFECT¨ body. I´m here to tell you that we are all perfect just they way we are.
They most amazing thing in the world is that there is only one you! And no amount of money in the world can replicate an exact model. I´m not coming down on marketing concepts that are trying to sell their product, but in most cases most of the models have had reinforcements made from air brushing and photo shops. Don´t get me wrong either when I say that outer beauty is stunning. But beauty shines through the inner energy of the person. It´s an amazing outlook on life and confidence that can overcome insecurity. If you are one of a huge percentage of people that suffer from this condition my advice is to stop and love yourself just the way you are. You are meant to live a life full of happiness and wear the clothes that make you comfortable. Heck, some of my favorite places to shop are vintage stores. If you are struggling with weight issues or some other forms of physical ailment it´s important to block out negativity and opinions.
I know a lot of times insecurity stems from when we were kids. Yep, kids can be cruel sometimes alright! That’s why it´s important to teach our kids that everyone is different for a reason and we all bring different talents, ideas and beauty in all kinds of forms into the world. That´s what makes living life so exciting. I love meeting people from all over the world and trying to understand their culture and background. It´s my desire that this world will be one free of judgment and racism one day and we can all unite harmoniously and co create with others on a positive scale. I don´t think that’s far off if we all strive to be the best we can be. That means we need to treat every human being we come across the same as we expect to be treated. I don´t know about you, but I love making others feel good because seeing someone happy bounces right back on me and gives me immense pleasure.
Let´s talk about how to overcome insecurity. My opinion is that self confidence can be tough to oneself. If someone is looking down on you it´s them that has the issue within themselves. It´s really easy to flip the switches on that, no matter how much that person hurts you to send them love through your heart because they are the ones that are sick unfortunately. Hold your head high when you walk into a room . Not snobby or cocky, Christ that was me a few years back at times and it got me no where and made me feel empty. Smile when you walk into a room and let your inner energy do the talking. You can literally send out good vibrations through your positive thoughts that will impact people that surround you. Freedom to be yourself is something that is every ones right on this planet, and as long as your not hurting anyone and bringing joy to others by being you, it´s you that will reap the rewards. I know the work place can be full of gossip and drama at times. Rising above all that and not feeding into the bullshit will set you apart from others and people of clout will notice that your action speaks louder than words.
There´s a lot of really positive music out there these days that inspire people to let go of insecurities, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to name a few. And for those of you that are gay and having a tough time with it and expressing who you really are, let loose and be you. I have a lot of amazing gay friends that are some of the most beautiful sensitive beings I´ve ever met. We are all people in this world, so no matter how much money we have, what we look like or what occupation we hold, the moment we all unite as one and let go of judgments this world will be even more beautiful.

Staying Positive
When we got back to the house we had a quick swim before I jumped into a cab en route to the hotel, I guess I was half out of it and obviously wasn´t paying attention because I left my toiletry case in the cab. I didn´t realize until about 15 minutes later when I was in the room that I left the toiletry bag in the cab. A rush of panic overcame me and I ran down to the reception to get the lady at the front desk to try and help me. I kept telling myself ¨deep breaths Ry!¨ But it wasn´t easy, all i could pray for is that either the next passengers in the cab or the driver himself was honest and would do the right thing. After over an hour of phone calls, being put on hold for a lot of the time, all four cab companies said there was no sign of it in any of the cabs or the lost and found. In that time I called my folks and some good friends back home that calmed me down to some degree. I had to practice a lot of self control as well.
At this point there was nothing I could do but stay positive. Acceptance is something that I´ve worked on hard for a while now, and I had to be a realist and understand that it was highly unlikely that I was ever going to see the case again. It´s funny because a few years back I would have been in hysterics. But a sense of calm took over my mind and body and I started looking at the sunny side of the situation and the lesson I was being tough in the moment. The first thing I thanked god for was the fact that I was safe, I have my health and of all the people I talked to said they would help me in any way they could. Thank god I have my passport and credit cards in my satchel, and obviously it was the universe telling me ¨Ry you need to pay more attention¨ Shit, what a bummer, but it happened for a reason. I just really hope whoever got that case and money can use it for some good. maybe the driver is going through a tough time, who knows. amidst the drama I looked at all the positives and tried to find the humor in it. I talked to my dad and we both agreed there’s people out there way worse off.
I´m on a beautiful island in Spain and there’s people dying in hospitals, wars being fought and people in prison! I blocked out the negative aspects of the situation and read myself to sleep. When I shut my eyes I started running off the things in life that I´m most grateful for. Number one on my list is always sound health and a positive state of mind that I choose to have. Yes there’s a lot of negatives in the world these days, but the positives outweigh them in a big way. If an individual really wants to practice staying positive most of the time just write out was your grateful for and know that adversities are all part of life that are meant to teach us lessons. It´s how we handle these adversities that makes us stronger and know that it´s only temporary. Everything in life is temporary if you think about it. And in the material world things get lost sometimes. I´m so happy this morning as I write this because I handled it with dignity and humility.
What I want to say to you is that when you´re on a negative vibration there’s no way you can be on a positive at the same time. The human brain is like a two way radio which is a broadcasting and receiving station for thought. whatever thought you send out into the ether it is brought back to you in like form that the individual puts out. And depending on the momentum of the energy stream and power of the chosen thought the physical manifestation will resemble that which one is thinking. That’s just how it works! We all have times of joy and empowerment in our lives and we can bring more of that into our life experience by guiding and directing our thought patterns in the right direction. Focus is very important and a desire or wanting to be positive in life is a must. The expansion of the universe in inevitable and it´s like the old saying goes ¨whatever we resist will persist¨. Choose smiles and laughter! Try and bring the best out of others because that in turn will help you be more positive and happy.
I know it´s tough when there’s a sick person or loss in a family. Could be a family pet or your house being broken into, the list goes on. But it´s you that has the power to change the way you look at situations and things and people. If you look at everyone for the good they have to offer with authenticity,in return in most cases that comes back to you. You get out of life what you give. Just like when you feed the body with healthy food, in return you get more energy and vitality. There is no source of sickness unless we attract it and think it into our lives. Remember everything starts with a thought, and thoughts do become things. Play with the law of attraction and think good thoughts in the moment often!

Getting Motivated
MOTIVATION! this is a topic that I´m happy to touch on. It was a request made by an amazing person in my life that is aspiring to become a singer. Well here it goes…There´s so many motivating factors that make humans tick and want to get the most out of life. It´s the STAYING motivated factor that is tough for a lot of people these days. Firstly whatever it is that the individual is focused on must be fixated in the mind as a GOAL! Setting goals are important. For whatever dream the individual wants to achieve it must be definite! The dream must be turned into a burning desire. The dominating thoughts that the individual ¨thinks¨will most definitely start forming in the physical reality that surrounds them. The key words here are DESIRE and BELIEF! I´ve touched before on the power of writing exactly what one wants on paper. I suggest writing your dreams and goals down and place them close to you where they can be seen and read a lot of the time. Now here’s the important part! There’s always going to be negative influences that surround us, people that will try and sway you. My advice is that no dream is ever too big! Getting sufficient rest at night and keeping your body and mind clear of the negatives is key to reaching goals. Meditation has also been proven to awakening people to their life purpose so give that a shot and when in the state of meditation it´s important that you really focus on your breath and visualize yourself already in possession of the GOAL at hand. It´s important also to ask yourself why you want what you want and for what reasons. A lot of people these days are motivated by money and sex. Hey! that’s totally OK as long as your not hurting anyone in process.
I find that good music motivates me and also when I listen to awesome tunes I can literally picture my life like a movie doing all the things that mean the most to me. If you can start your mornings off with a walk throw the ipod on and see yourself where you want to be. I love early mornings when there’s hardly anyone outside and the roads aren’t too busy. Everyday is a new day to start fresh no matter where you are. I have to be straight with you guys, I never even completed a book in high school. For some reason I could never stay focused and didn´t believe that books held and power or significance in life. Truth be known there’s so many books that I use as motivating factors that connect me to my Source. There are so many inspirational books that were written to inspire people to do great things that want the best out of life. If you come to my house you´ll see that I keep a lot of my favorite books out in the open because that forces me to pick them up often and take in valuable information that my mind needs to grow.
Great books of our time and in our past were written by the author in most cases with the purpose of making the earth we live in a better place. For those of you that aren’t big readers books can now be downloaded and listened too. Set daily, weekly, monthly and yearly goals. And remember that you really have all the answers within. Watching great movies is also key. Think of the people that made them. They made them to inspire humans to do great things with their time. Don´t waste time on over thinking, if you want something bad enough there’s nothing that should stand in your way NOTHING! My motivating factor for writing is you the reader. I want with all my heart to give value to others that will make them want the best life we all deserve. Don´t be afraid to ask lots of questions to people that have succeeded at the goal you desire to attain. Be a good listener and try new things. We live in such an amazing time where there’s so much information available to us. All it takes is some awareness and you´ll realize that certain people are placed in your life for a reason. Love where you are right now because it´s perfect.
It´s important to dig deep and work smartly towards your goal. If you truly believe it and others have done it the universe has the adequate means to make it happen for you. We´re all made from the same thing so if it can happen for one person it can happen for you, don´t ever give up friends.

Just Be Yourself
Ok boys and girls this is something I find really important in life that makes things a little easier to go with the flow and be happy. First just remember there’s only one you! How amazing is that? Well if you thought of all the circumstances the universe lined up just to make sure your precious soul was here it would drive you bananas. You mean a lot and and play an important role in the expansion of the universe weather you know it or not. I find it sad to see men and women these days that try and be someone there not. The really amazing people all throughout history have always been leaders,not followers. I know I respect a person that comes off as authentic and real rather than arrogant and obnoxious. Guess what? That was me at times. It wasn’t who I truly was as a person, I was just insecure and usually a few sociables deep if ya know what I mean… emulating awesome people with positive energy is a cool thing to do. A real energetic laid back personality is contagious and attracts like minded people that are on the same vibe. Remember nobody likes a showoff. I find an authentic smile goes a long way with people as well and makes you more approachable. Eye contact is another thing that is big in my books, and who doesn’t like a person that is confident and sure of oneself. Wear what you want to wear and hold your head high. Wear clothes that are a reflection of your personality because first impressions go a long way. Love who you are and expect the best in life while respecting nature and others and a new world will unfold in front of you….Watch!
