new week, new you!

Almost everything we do in life comes down to “habits’s” good and bad they are tough to crack. Life is truly a rhythm that we can flow with when we set intentions and goals. I’ve been really trying to simplify my life lately by having the long term goal of optimal health in my mind, but only writing down exactly what I’m going to be doing the next day the night before. For instance I recently incorporated yoga into my life. And what a blessing I’ve gotten from the rewards this ancient practice has given me thus far. Pushing my body in intense heat only goes to show how resilient are bodies are under intense situations. And the benefits of yoga go way beyond getting in physical shape, it build tremendous mental focus. So having sound health is always at the top of my list because that way I can be at my best for others. When I get out of the rhythm (alignment) I don’t feel great. Going to bed each night comfortably tired from following through with all my intentions( I’m not saying you have to do yoga, but take at least 20 to 30 min to really focus on YOU!) daily goals are easy. Meet with people outside of work that will open your mind and make you think higher. Don’t ever be afraid to dive all in to projects and always give 100 percent, that way there’s never anyway for self judgement. Make this week awesome, and keep building on the weeks ahead.

The Power of the Will.

I just got done a workout whilst blasting some awesome tunes on my iPod. Great healthy way to start my day. While I was on the treadmill feeding my subconscious mind with thoughts of health, prosperity and love I found myself wanting to run faster. I wanted to push myself more! Then I thought about the power of ones will! Will power, self determination and self-discipline are all key components to a life built on purpose. It leads one into the realm of the great. With those attributes anyone in this world can reach high stations in whatever endeavour they chose. It’s funny how when we really want something bad enough and believe it, how the momentum of energy shifts, propelling any individual towards the target. Will power separates the mediocre from the great. Greatness is something we all posses, but it needs to be brought out from within.

Harnessing the present moment.

All throughout history human beings have been evolving and revolutionizing new ways of making life better on earth. Nothing ever happens until something moves. So when you get down to the nitty gritty of your own life and self improvement, everything comes down to action! I’ve been a long sufferer of anxiety, o.c.d and post traumatic stress for many years, I know I sound like a hot mess. I find the only way out of those states of mind is to stay in the fixed habit of doing the best for myself in making me feel better in the moment. I’m so high energy at times that I find it hard to relax. So bringing myself into a peaceful state of mind to meditate or just shut my thoughts off can be a tedious task!

What always makes me feel better though is getting in touch with nature and using my body, mind and soul in a positive way. Giving service in any shape or form is also so rewarding, as I find to give is to receive. We only need to focus on what’s happening in the present moment. Because life moves so fast we have to harness the energy in the present and really try to feel gratitude whenever possible as goodness is always surrounding us. It’s weather we let it in or not. Even in times of crisis there’s always lessons to learn. Appreciating the so called bad times is all part of the journey. That’s why letting go of heavy emotions such as anger and jealousy is a necessity to experience the fulfillment of the joyous expansion which is so rightfully yours. We’re all works in progress and that is what’s special.

Balance and Action

Most have us have been blessed with the opportunity to use our minds and bodies in so many ways. The mind and body are made to be in Action! Everyday is special! No matter what you are facing in your life. A lot of stresses we let into our life that really aren’t as big as they seem. Things all pass just the way they should. But when we take care or our mind and body it gives us more power to get through whatever situation is in front of us. Make physical and mental challenges a part of your daily ritual and see the awesome results in mind and body. The more energy we release the more relaxed and focused we become in the delicious expansion of our lives. You never completely know what your going to get. So let go of the paddles and go down stream with the flow of life. All that is good is available to all of us. It’s our right to succeed in life if we practice good habits. It’s easy to delve into bad ones. And even if you have a few bad ones as it’s only normal, counter them with good habits as well. It’s all a balance, and even moderation should be taken in moderation. Enjoy this beautiful Sunday wherever you are.

Compassion for all of you! Ryan

Relax

The end of another week for most. I’ll take this quick opportunity to say have a great weekend. I wish I could write a blog that would impact every one in a big way, but the truth is, I’m starving! I went to bed early last night and woke up starving. The one thing I can tell you all is that even though you may have a had a rough work week. It may have been off the charts rocking? Only you know. Best bet is to leave work at the office. Take some time for yourself and relax…We all need time for ourselves away from what we do. I’m a workaholic. I need things to be done a certain way. But if I don’t take time away from my project then I start going batty. Every thing is balance, even balance itself. So take time with the weekend to relax if you have the chance. I’m off to eat…. Peace and Love.

Stay Fit “Giver”

I walked along the Santa Monica seawall this morn to see many people running, riding bikes, skateboarding and boot camps on the beach. People of all ages out and about being health conscious was super cool. I do know one thing, sometimes it’s tough to get into a routine of fitness. But when the routine becomes habit we reap the benefits in all aspects of our daily life. It injects energy and promotes blood flow to the brain and heart which in turn make us much more sharper and alert in all situations. It’s all about feeling good! I saw this one gentleman that was in his 80’s and he had a ear to ear smile with a cane making his walk along the seawall and I thought to myself “what a dude!” He could be at home sleeping or accepting his age as a excuse, but he was rolling along with an energetic grin that made me think how lucky I am to be have my health and take advantage of it. Love the inspiration of seeing people older still caring for their body and mind. Just gotta keep the blood flowing baby!!!

Stay fit and have fun!!

Nurture Yourself.

You know those feelings when you wake up and you feel a bit “off”?…I call it being out of vibrational alignment with your natural self. At times I get so out of alignment that doing the simplest of tasks like going to the grocery store or bank seems overwhelming. I don’t hide the fact that I deal with anxiety issues at times and the busyness of my mind can literally take me into feeling states of doubt and worry that doesn’t feel good at all. If your human I’m sure you can all resonate with what I’m saying. And for you blessed souls that don’t have any of these feelings I envy you. The one thing I do know, is that your not alone if you feel like this on many occasions. That’s why I’ve touched so many times on how important it is to have a loving support network of family and friends that can be there for you when you are in these states of mind.

Lately I’ve been practicing more meditation which seems to open up the energy channels and creativity I have throughout the day. Thank god for Youtube and their guided meditations, there’s lots on there. Try it, find a few that work for you and see the enormous benefits they have to offer. It’s so very important that we take time for ourselves throughout the day. To nurture ourselves with good thoughts that impact ourselves and the people around us. The affirmation “I’m so grateful for…..” fill in the blank, is my favorite. Just remember if you don’t take time for yourself you won’t be able to give your best, and feel your best.

Feel great..

It’s not rocket science that without our health we can’t experience all the wonderful joys of life. Life is all about balance. Of course I love to pig out on pizza and ice cream and whatever “junk foods” I can get my hands on at times. Actually a lot of the time, I have to be honest I love sweets. But because I also eat very well and train my body on a daily basis to balance out the so called “junk” I find that I can get away with the not so good foods. Our bodies are machines, and they run like fuel injected into a vehicle. The better the fuel the more optimal our bodies will perform. Our thoughts are run along the same lines, the more we inject positive affirmations of love and desire, the more our mind feeds upon those thoughts and moves our body into action.

My suggestion to all who desire to feel better moment by moment is to feed our bodies with at least 30 minutes a day of exercise. Your body and mind will thank you as more energy will flow your way and when you look in the mirror you will see tangible results. It’s the release of endorphins that will make you feel younger and vibrant. And when your physical apparatus is working systematically your over all state of well being will improve big time. When I don’t have a gym, I resort to push ups, but it’s up to you to improvise. I’m wishing you all a healthy day full of goodness.

LOVE RY…

Train to feel awesome!

I’ve touched on it before but I feel so compelled to write about health right now because that’s how I’m feeling healthy! Thank God. When I use the term health I mean it in a sense of overall well being, mind, body and soul. I’ve always incorporated fitness into my active life style, but in no time of in my life have I felt the burning desire to take it to an even greater level. I don’t mean pushing massive weights around the gym like a monkey. But I’m talking about the whole package. Cardio weight workouts mixed with trail runs and swimming, martial arts and cross fit . Steam rooms and saunas and eating habits that are conducive to your whole system. For me it’s not about the physical looks, although that’s an added bonus that comes along with hard fun work. It’s the release of stress that aids in the production of serotonin to then brain which cause neurotransmitters to function on a high level. It also gives you an instant rush of pure adrenalin and happiness when you sweat and feel good about pushing your body.

Diet is so important! I’m a huge sucker for “grease wheels” pizza! And chocolate bars ect..But I balance it all out with eating as healthy as I can and working out harder when I’ve “cheated” so to speak. So much has been said about the effectiveness of yoga for not only flexibility, but losing weight, quieting the mind, heart health and overall well being. I want everyone to feel good and be health conscious  because it means a longer healthy happy life that’s more enjoyable. It’s never too late. If you work out at a gym or at home or just find time to walk around the block, your body and mind will be thanking you, and the energy you’ll be creating for yourself is something you can’t put a price on. You got one body, love it, respect it and make use of all the benefits you were naturally blessed with.

STAY COOL- Ryan

NATURE,ENJOY,REFLECT AND LAUGH..

I’ve said many times that it’s the simple things in life that carry with them the most joy. Last night I went for a nice walk in some light rain just after dinner, it was a bit on the cold side, but nothing a warm jacket couldn’t take care of. My friend and I walked through some trails in the forest, where a creek cut through the wilderness. We both stopped on a bridge that went over the creek and listened to the water flow down stream. It was as if a sense a calm and peace rushed through my body and soul all at once in that moment of time. Everything was just perfect. Funny how a walk in the woods with a simple stream of water can connect you to the energy source of feeling the oneness of your being with nature.
