HAVE FUN! LOVE LIFE- Ryan Phillips
Have you ever wanted to do something so bad but are just afraid to do it? It’s funny how in most cases everything that is holding us back in doing something that we truly desire in life is fear based. So many of us are afraid of what “they” may say, or what if? Or I’ll do it some other time..you get my drift. I know that fear has rippled through my being on many occasions in my life when I’ve taken on new projects, gone on a trip or even had to talk to someone that I’d rather not have. But it’s through my experience that in most cases, if we just face our fears, go through them and challenge ourselves the reward is mighty big. We’re all here to create awesome life experiences and more joy. The only way we’re ever going to be truly satisfied in the moment is if we start tackling our goals with intention.
I was scared to death of heights for a long period of time in my not so distant past. So I decided that going bungee jumping would be the cure. It took me a few days to get the courage. But I did it, and when I did I loved the experience and gained a powerful insight as to what fear is all about. Fear is a state of mind that we cultivate ourselves usually from some form of trauma in our early childhood. Fear has so many roots and causes as well, hence why the majority of people aren’t as open as we all should be. Past relationships not working out hinders new ones from forming, old jobs that didn’t work as we thought can create us to settle for mediocrity. The only way we can conquer fear is to do our best to let the past go and live on the edge of our comfort zone. The greatest prize so many times is on the other side of our greatest fear. We’re here to face the world and LIVE! So make today a memorable one and believe in yourself as not only being deserving of all the amazing things this world has to offer, but in essence the possibilities are endless.

With enough persistence in anything you will win! It’s a known fact that all the biggest successes in the world had drive and focus backed by persistence in whatever they accomplished. It’s like the old saying goes “if at first you fail, try and try again”. In my mind there is no such word as failure. Failure is just a word that represents a fallen plan. But whatever name you may call it. I call failure a test! And at the end of every test are not only lessons but realizations of goals that were finally met through persistent effort. In order to win, you must first pass the persistence test. People that don’t succeed always seem to give up at the first sign of failure. If the plan is not sound, change it! Everyday take time to refocus on your definite purpose with passion and faith.
I used to laugh at people when they told me meditation was a great thing that would help me because I’m so intense and all over the map and energy driven. Well it took me a few years to listen and give it a shot. But once I started to allow myself to try new things such as meditation, it was amazing how my energy changed. Not only are better things enter my life now, I’m more grounded and centered and at peace with myself. I’m far from where I desire to be in life, and believe that we never really “get it done”. We’re constantly going to be giving birth to new desires that burn inside our hearts. That’s what life’s about! It’s about getting all fired up and charged with energy with excitement for the future. Don’t be afraid to try new things. And never ever stop chasing your dreams with persistence.

A little over a month ago I was in a “rut”! I felt like I was going through a low level of despair and was experiencing some sadness and anxiety issues that only got worse the more I thought about it. I was finding it hard to get motivated in the morning and felt a lack of energy as well. Well I’m not one to accept mediocrity and feeling down is something I know we all experience at different times in our lives. So I had to look the cause face on before I could get to the root of the effect. I’m a firm believer in having a definite planned routine in life that I can build on through plans of a creative nature. I didn’t have to look to far to see my problem. The problem was me. I was allowing negative influences in my life that I felt compelled to help, but in turn I took on a lot of their issues. Now don’t get me wrong, helping and giving to people that earnestly desire positive change is a great thing. It’s people that are willing that are fun to inspire and watch grow to be better because it makes you feel so good when you see them rise into a more confident and self reliant individual.
In giving your all to helping the right people, it in turn makes you even that much better and fulfilled. There’s no better feeling. And true long lasting friendships are usually developed through this type of media. I was dissipating loads of my energy in helping people that weren’t ready to make positive change, and in turn I started picking up some bad habits along the way by association. I have nothing but love for everyone in this world. But if your not trying to better yourself in some way on a regular basis through good habits, your sure to be bogged down with the circumstances of life that aren’t conducive to a healthy mind and body.
So my advice to anyone who is trying to succeed in the upper brackets of life is to eliminate all negative influences. We can change the world in great ways, but we need to be in a steady flowing positive mind set the majority of the time if we want to make a solid impact on the people around us. So I got back to basics. I looked deep inside myself for the answers and re focused. We always need to do what is best for us. If I’m not in harmony with a definite goal or purpose I’m a lost soul. So I rewrote my plans, I dedicated myself to spending more time with myself reading good books and studying great people. I associate myself with a small group of driving people who I can mastermind future success because we all have the same purpose. It only takes one weak link in the chain to destroy your dreams or plans when your building something that takes coordinated effort. So just chose the people you associate yourself with wisely.
