A little over a month ago I was in a “rut”! I felt like I was going through a low level of despair and was experiencing some sadness and anxiety issues that only got worse the more I thought about it. I was finding it hard to get motivated in the morning and felt a lack of energy as well. Well I’m not one to accept mediocrity and feeling down is something I know we all experience at different times in our lives. So I had to look the cause face on before I could get to the root of the effect. I’m a firm believer in having a definite planned routine in life that I can build on through plans of a creative nature. I didn’t have to look to far to see my problem. The problem was me. I was allowing negative influences in my life that I felt compelled to help, but in turn I took on a lot of their issues. Now don’t get me wrong, helping and giving to people that earnestly desire positive change is a great thing. It’s people that are willing that are fun to inspire and watch grow to be better because it makes you feel so good when you see them rise into a more confident and self reliant individual.
In giving your all to helping the right people, it in turn makes you even that much better and fulfilled. There’s no better feeling. And true long lasting friendships are usually developed through this type of media. I was dissipating loads of my energy in helping people that weren’t ready to make positive change, and in turn I started picking up some bad habits along the way by association. I have nothing but love for everyone in this world. But if your not trying to better yourself in some way on a regular basis through good habits, your sure to be bogged down with the circumstances of life that aren’t conducive to a healthy mind and body.
So my advice to anyone who is trying to succeed in the upper brackets of life is to eliminate all negative influences. We can change the world in great ways, but we need to be in a steady flowing positive mind set the majority of the time if we want to make a solid impact on the people around us. So I got back to basics. I looked deep inside myself for the answers and re focused. We always need to do what is best for us. If I’m not in harmony with a definite goal or purpose I’m a lost soul. So I rewrote my plans, I dedicated myself to spending more time with myself reading good books and studying great people. I associate myself with a small group of driving people who I can mastermind future success because we all have the same purpose. It only takes one weak link in the chain to destroy your dreams or plans when your building something that takes coordinated effort. So just chose the people you associate yourself with wisely.
