WHAT A RIDE! THANKS TO ALL..

When I first signed up for the Somaly Mam Foundation, Project Futures Global bike ride across the beautiful country of Cambodia I knew it would be special. But as usual in life the real impacting moments always happen on the “ride”. Life long friendships were made with some of the most genuine authentic people I’ve ever been around in my life. I could write a book on all the stories of laughter, joy and tears spent with this amazing group. The universe inspires one with awe when you think about all the circumstances and situations that bring everything together in just the right format. I was riveted with emotions on a daily basis and my love grew not only for my fellow bike mates. But for the Cause we were raising money for, the young girls who we were giving hope for. And for the blessing that through this amazing group and the people of Cambodia I was learning a lot more about myself as a human being on this planet.

To meet Somaly was a great moment. Her heart is filled with love and hope. I can’t say enough positive words about the crew that helped put all this together and all the pieces fit just perfect. I will cherish these memories in my heart and soul forever. It was hard to say goodbye to not only the girls at the shelters but the courageous people that I spent so much time bonding with. Just to be a part of something so powerful and special, and to know that many lives will be changed forever makes me feel at peace. I will carry these memories with me forever and gain an even more important lesson, that “every little bit helps”. My last words is to all who I met along the journey- I LOVE YOU, AND MISS YOU ALREADY!

 Until next year…Ryan Phillips.
