There’s nothing in the world more important than family and friends (people we love and care about) As we get older and have our own kids we are faced with the hard fact that our babies grow up. The relationship between father/son is another topic that I will elaborate on tomorrow. But today it’s Mom and Daughter time. It’s so important to keep the channels of communication wide open. I know as mothers, especially the ones I talk too, try their best at times, but to no avail their daughter(s) seem hard to reach. Emotionally withdrawn and many times hard to understand. The best way I can sum up this painful energy at times is to realize that we are in the midst of a massive generation gap. The social media frenzy is out of hand at times, and the real world seems far gone and less simple. So maybe that’s the answer to many of the issues between any trouble between mom and daughter. Number one is acceptance that this is a generation of massive expansion. Self expression can be difficult when things are rapidly changing so fast. A simple I love you in a thank you card once a week under the pillow. Try and see the world from their perspective. Be gentle on yourself and no matter what stay strong in your own beliefs. We sometimes wish our kids could just see (it) from our vantage point but it’s a tough one. Tough love is also something that has to come into play at times or parents get walked on. Just remember we all have our own dreams, and paths to walk. The best you can do at times when you see your daughter make poor decisions is pray for her and just lead by example. Try not to try and let things flow. All the very best to the families of the world. Love is always the answer even though it’s not always easy….
