There was no sleep for this kid as I went for a serene walk along the mighty Mekong to see fisherman coming and going. I stopped and had a chat with a gentle man who explained to me that I must see the sunset tonight, and I have full faith that I will as it’s only an hour away as I write this page. I was blessed to drive through the countryside which was littered with rice fields and houses on stilts. We made a quick stop as a heard of buffalo was in the midst of crossing the road. Tame and friendly our tuk tuk driver urged me to hop onto one of the bigger ones for a ride which I did and he didn’t mind.
Finally we reached our destination where I saw some of the most epic waterfalls of my life at Tat Kuang Si. Rows and rows of waterfalls and pools to swim in, I felt as if I was in the movie Avatar. It was awesome and the fact we got there early made it even better because there was hardly a soul in our surroundings. A long hike to the top of the mountains was where the source of these amazing falls began. I stopped in my tracks and felt a oneness to the nature around me and just gave thanks for a life so blessed. Just to be in that moment of time and to feel the flow and sounds of the water running over the rocks. I thought to myself how I used to care about what kind of car I drove or clothes on my back. But to be at such peace in this environment makes the material word seem so insignificant. Another day to remember on this amazing journey, I’m off to see the sunset and my thoughts are with all of humanity that desire peace love and harmony, this is truly heaven on earth..
Much Love Ryan.
