Chang Mai

After an adventurous 3 days in Khao Lak, it was on the move again baby! Up early at 530 am, a quick breakie and off to the Phuket airport. Hopped the bird to Chang Mai and had a smooth hour and a half flight. Chang Mai is very different from where we’ve been thus far. The people seemed a bit more laid back than Phuket and not out to grab your buck and hassle you into buying everything in sight. I was amazed at some of the beautiful temples, and the prices here are much more reasonable than where we started our journey. Just my luck it was the last day of the yearly flower festival. I decided to check it out and was amazed by the attention to detail and hard work that was put into these amazing pieces of art. I can say one thing for sure, the Thai people are very creative and artistic and their art is showcased all over the magnificent cityi. Chang Mai is in the north of Thailand and it’s population is 1.4 million.

I sucked back some of my favorite bevies, coconut water while walking through the city. It’s a must that you stay good and hydrated while in the heat and coconut water is the ticket! Met some really cool people on the plane from Argentina that we’ll be catching up with in Java Indonesia. I love meeting people from all over the world, That’s what makes the travel experience so special. When your sending out positive energy it’s almost a given that it comes back multiplied. Lots of smiles, music and food has been the highlight of Chang Mai thus far. Because we’re on the go tomorrow will be our last day here.

I was saddened to see a band with 5 members playing beautiful music today all without eyes. I can’t be positive, but it looked as if all 5 of them had eyes before and the irreversible damage had been inflicted on them by another human being and they were playing for money for the people that did the damage. I don’t know if many of you guys have seen Slum Dog millionaire, but it’s along those lines. That breaks my heart. And at the same time I count my blessing for having  eyes to see the beauty that’s all around me.

Tomorrows another day and I’m sure it will be filled with unexpected fulfillment and surprises. I can’t be more thankful for my life right now and all I’ve seen and what is to come. I wish peace, love and happiness to all the world and a better life for all who desire positive change.

Much Love -Ryan
