The day before Christmas is one that millions of kids from around the world have been waiting for, for a long time. And the inner child in us adults of course. It’s a funny thing how the whole concept of the holiday has changed a lot over the generations. The malls, and stores are so busy as usual but wow, so many people are stressed out. It’s easy to understand because the prices of “things” aren’t cheap! Parents want to do their very best to make they’re kids wishes come true, but it can be hard. I was always happy with a hockey stick and some books, and a full stocking. Now days in western society kids desire expensive video games and phones. The true Christmas spirit in my mind is all about family and unconditional love. It should be a time to relax and reflect on all the good things that happened this past year and look forward to the new year ahead. All that stress for about an hour of gift giving, then it’s done. The best part is the time spent around the dinner table. I always look forward to that. My prayers go out to the homeless and sick children that won’t be enjoying the holiday to it’s fullness. Thank god for family, friends and health…
Merry Christmas to all my friends around the globe.
Much Love
Ryan John Phillips
